A conservative outlet for young adults

Consequences

What most people do not understand is the true effects of Obama's tax plan. While I am for the betterment of mankind, taxing the rich causes a backlash. Look at minimum wage laws, they were implemented to help those with less money to better themselves and what happened? their employers had to lay off many of their workers because they could not afford them. Yes this did better a few households, at the cost of others. The same thing will happen with Obama's tax plan, by taking the rich who are as a vast majority small business owners they will have less economic gain and will need to cut cost somewhere, in this case employment of "unskilled workers".

Although they will never come out and say it, Democrats want to keep the poor poor, this is how they get votes. Look at this past election at how many newly registered voters voted. The promise of betterment without working sounds like a great idea and they want to see that through. Democrats have been saying this for well over 30 years that they are going to end poverty and what has happened? there has been a further divide between the middle and lower class.

I would love to end poverty but in no way should it be the governments responsibility to do so. Hard work pays off, not only in the wallet but in self satisfaction. this is a moral that must be instilled not only on the youth of America, but those that believe in "change" as well. The only true change that can be made is self initiated.

The time is now fellow conservatives, we need to initiate change of our own. Whether it is through joining organizations like the young republicans http://www.youngrepublicans.com/ or by becoming community volunteers.

As Rush Limbaugh said yesterday, "Conservatism did not loose yesterday, it was not even on the ballot". We need to be just as organized in 2012 as our peers were this year for Obama. If we can get a true conservative back on the ballot I really do believe we will have a chance at reclaiming the white house in 2012.

When yesterday ended, so ended the worst day we will face in terms of emotion.

Just keep this in mind, when Obama does take office, the sky will not suddenly turn green, the ground wont turn to ash and the world will not end. For a vast part of our lives not much with "change" (I need to find a thesaurus, that word still makes me sick)

Whether you are religious or not, i strongly encourage each and everyone of you to say a prayer of blessing and strength for not only America, but future President Obama as well. Judging by the events that are already transpiring we will need all the help we can get.

Let’s first begin by addressing the most obvious flaw within this argument; “I would love to end poverty but in no way should it be the government’s responsibility to do so. Hard work pays off, not only in the wallet but in self satisfaction. This is a moral that must be instilled not only on the youth of America, but those that believe in "change" as well. The only true change that can be made is self initiated.”
First of all, was it not our government’s job to be created by the people and for the people and so on and so forth? I wonder what exactly you feel it is the government’s job to do? Second, this quote seems to suggest that hard work always pays off – it seems to follow an awfully ignorant “American dream” as portrayed in so many flowery Hollywood films. The Pursuit of Happiness really is a touching film; however, this is not what most often occurs. When you are born in a shithole, the chances of you getting out of that shithole are practically nil. I’m sick of tired of hearing that blacks are lazy and don’t ever work hard – its pure bullshit. Yes, there will always be people that take advantage of government programs, such as welfare, but a great GREAT percent of those that use welfare need it because they don’t have the same opportunities that others have when they are young because… they grew up in a shithole. There is a completely different mindset within ghettos (for lack of a less cliché title) because they don’t know any better. And furthermore, it is not always blacks who need welfare. My parents, fresh out of college mind you, used the food stamp program while living just outside the Cabrini-Green in Chicago’s slums. My mom worked in a church, while my dad finished his graduate degree. My father is a college professor and an author, and my mom is an elementary school teacher – neither could have finished their education without the help of government programs. Hard work still often requires assistance as not all of us have rich parents; in fact I’m now $50,000 in debt as a sophomore at Marquette. I have to pay for my own education because my parents can’t, and if it wasn’t for government loans and grants, I’d be fucked. Royally fucked. I hope to God Obama’s education plan pulls through quickly because I hate filling out that fucking FAFSA form, and It sure would lesson my load if the government invested more in education. Wouldn’t that do some good? Maybe instead of giving businesses tax cuts we should invest more in the youth and their education so that we CAN instill those morals that you speak of! You were on to something there, but those that you vote for have continually cut the budget for education spending. This is why practically every teachers union in the US has backed Obama. We should invest money into education.
Furthermore, I would argue that giving money back to the people and injecting back into the public is a much better solution. Part of the reason the economy is so shitty is that we have failed to regulate at all. We’ve made poor investments, given bad loans, allowed shitty speculation on Wallstreet, etc… etc… all so that some fucker in a nice suite can line his pockets. The economy failing has nothing to do with how much we tax business. It’s business being able to get away with whatever the hell they want to make money. My money. If it’s the people spending they’re hard earned money that stimulates our economy, then it’s the people that should be getting money back. In turn, they pay businesses for their services. Businesses don’t deserve our money simply for existing; they need to do something to earn it – that’s what a business is.
